Veneers

Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many dental conditions.

As with most dental restorations, veneers are not permanent and may someday need replacement. They are very durable and will last many years, giving you a beautiful long lasting smile.

Porcelain laminate veneers are the most aesthetically pleasing means of creating a more attractive and beautiful smile. They require a minimal amount of tooth reduction and are therefore a more conservative restoration than crowns (caps). Porcelain veneers allow us to alter tooth position, shape, size, and color. They are not the only alternative for all aesthetic abnormalities but are truly a remarkable restoration when they are the treatment of choice. This is why they are often referred to as “instant Orthodontics” allowing your teeth to be altered within two weeks.

Dr. Le will let you know if you are a candidate for Veneers because it is only recommended for select cases only, because it may not the best option for everyone, and some patients require more specialized dental care.

Reasons for porcelain veneers:

  • Cosmetically, to create a uniform, white, beautiful smile.
  • Crooked teeth.
  • Misshapen teeth.
  • Severely discolored or stained teeth.
  • Teeth that are too small or large.
  • Unwanted or uneven spaces.
  • Worn or chipped teeth.
